Technology Advisory Committee
Minutes, 24 March 2004

Members present: John Spagnolo , Terry McClannon , Dick Riedl , Gary Moorman , Claire Mamola, Robert Muffoletto, Heather Clark, Michael Bennett

Update of WebCT case study:

Arrangements have been made and participants notified for the focus group meetings.

Extension Issues:

There was discussion concerning who is responsible for technology related policy and procedure for programs ex tented off campus through the ASU Learning Alliance.

It was suggested that faculty identify the needs they might have....both specific needs and political needs.

The TAC has discussed before the need for equitable resources as we move programs off campus and we have included this goal in the technology plan.

What are the essential conditions for us to extend programs equitably off campus. What do these resources look like? If we need the same ease of computer use, lab access and support, what recommendations should we make...and to whom?

What do we take for granted here that we miss when we get there?

The suggestion was made to invite Choya Durham to the next TAC meeting to share his role and for dialogue on the issues outlined above.
